Announcement 35th VHYC Yeast Conference

We are glad to invite you to our annual VH Yeast Conference (VHYC) –  2024 again in Berlin (Germany), on May 06-07 2024. This year’s conference focus will be on “Yeast, sour dough, enzymes: baking with ?”. So in addition to a host of presentations, we will once again have the chance to meet each other and enjoy personal exchange as well as networking opportunities. Retrospective: VH yeast technology seminars 2023

In order to disseminate our knowledge of yeast technology, it was our pleasure to provide several seminars on baker’s yeast production to members of various companies this year (2023) – one seminar on-site by request. Topics covered were theoretical as well as practical basic know-how in the fields of: Modern baker’s yeast (IADY) technology Technical microbiology of baker’s yeast Raw materials and waste water aspects “side by side” hands-on fermentations: reference / variations Model calculations: ferm. balances and recipes Down stream dewatering units and emulsifier Analyses of yeast constituents and performance Microbiological contaminations and quality control HACCP analysis of the yeast plant Lots of individual questions/discussions! We enjoyed the experience and fruitful discussions with people from very different backgrounds, but a common interest in baker’s yeast. We are glad to invite you to our annual VH Yeast Conference – in 2023 we will meet in Vienna (Austria) on May 15 and 16, 2023 (with an online option if you prefer). This year’s conference focus will be on “Zero waste and circular (yeast) production”. So in addition to a host of presentations, we will once again have the chance to meet each other and enjoy personal exchange as well as networking opportunities. Announcement 33rd VHYC Yeast Conference We are glad to invite you to our annual VH Yeast Conference – this year again as a live conference in Berlin, Germany – on September 12 and 13, 2022 (with an online option if you prefer). As a special focus, we will celebrate the “100th anniversary of the VH Berlin”. Additionally, our favourite “workhorse” Saccharomyces cerevisiae (baker’s yeast) was elected “Microbe of the Year 2022” by the The Association for General and Applied Microbiology (VAAM). So in addition to a host of presentations, we will once again have the change to meet each other “for real” and enjoy personal exchange as well as networking opportunities. Announcement: VH Seminar on Yeast Technology May 2022 (on-site in Berlin)

The VH Berlin is offering a seminar on Yeast Technology in May 2022 (02.05. – 06.05.) –  we will cover the production of fresh baker’s yeast as well as dry yeast. The seminar will take on-site in Berlin. Announcement 2nd VHOYC Online Yeast Conference

Due to the current situation and international regulations still in place, this year’s Yeast Conference is online again – the 2nd VHOYC (VH Online Yeast Conference) will take place on September 13-14, 2021. We would like to welcome you as participants or lecturers. Building up on our 2020 experiences, we will increase the interaction possibilities for our audience to allow for more personal exchange and offer networking opportunities. The annual VH Berlin Autumn Seminar on Yeast Technology will take place during one week, November 15-19, 2021. Please contact us for details! Due to the global health and travel situation, the seminar will be held live online this year as a webinar. It will take 4hrs (+30min break) per day over the course of four days. Seminar time will be 08:00-12:30 central European Summer Time (CEST)/ 06:00-10:30 GMT/UTC. 1st VHOYC – looking back, and announcing the VHYC 2021

Dear participants and lecturers, we are looking back at our yeast conference which had to be held online this year for the first time ever. While it was a new format, lacking the face-to-face exchange we are all so used to, we have received overall positive feedback. There are no photos to be shared this year, but you can still have a look at our abstract compilation on the conference page. We would like to thank all of you again for having made this conference possible, and are looking forward to meet again live next year in Berlin – May 10-11, 2021!
